“The Day the Music Died” do you remember, I remember, I cried. Where were you and When?
I was in Dallas, in a rental car, Dec 6, 1988 – heard it on the radio
I cried… I’d just met him in July; he and Carl Perkins… we were backstage at WolfTrap… I was quiet… we talked about the weather… should have had a camera. Behind those dark glasses, the smile didn’t quit.
I was in Casanova, VA 8/16/77… the radio was on… he sang the first song in my memory… I’ve still not been to Graceland, someday
Oct 12, 1997 – he was too good, too nice, this couldn’t be…he’s home now… Almost Heaven
29 November, 2001… not an evil bone in his body or an angry thought in his mind… it hurt… but we knew he was sick. (It was then I put “Here Comes The Sun” in my repertoir)

I remember the music
The smiles they brought
Their music put an extra bounce in my step as I sang their songs in my head.

I’m now older than Jerry,… but have not lived near as much,,, perhaps should I become 200, yet nothing is certain
