Is Tim Burton over rated?
Dude, I just saw the latest Planet of the Apes (2001) on tv and the ending didn’t make any sense at all. This was like the 2 or 3 time I think that i’ve seen it, but still nothing. I’ve tried looking for answers online, and the closest answer i’ve gotten was from some producer saying, “it’s not supposed to make sense, the viewer is supposed to make up their own conclusion”. Well that’s just dumb! Then why would I want to see a movie if I can just imagine one on my own? I would do that all the time then!
Edward Scissor hands was a classic, and I liked Sweeney Todd. But seriously, if this dude didn’t put Johnny Depp in everything he did, his movies would suck big, fat, hairy ape balls. Charlie and the chocalate factory is a piece of crap compared to the original.
What do you guys think? Is Tim Burton thought of too highly? Is he over rated?
