Color Of Night (1994)

my dog was approaching her 21st birthday when we were advised to put her to sleep at our vets…?

Wishbone was born 24th may 1973, and she was put to sleep on april25 1994! while my mum was in hospital giving birth to me, my parents dog had pups! Wishy was the runt of the litter, and wasnt expected to get through the night let alone nearly 21 wonderful years! She had about 6 epilectic fits through out her life,only a few- and definately didnt slow her down in any way! When i was a little girl, we would pretend she was our baby and push her round in a dolls pram, as she was black and white we would get felt tip pens and colour the white bits pink! never nasty to her or cruel-just kids playing and a daft dog that didnt care really! she was just a little mongrel, probably the best dog u can find-when we took her to the vets he couldnt believe she was still alive as she was his first patient when he opened the vet practice he has!
does anyone know of or have a dog older than this?

The oldest recorded life of a dog, was an Australian Cattle Dog that lived to be 29 years old, and actually worked cattle until a few days before he died. AMAZING isn’t it. The second oldest dog, is another Australian Cattle Dog, that lived to be 27 years old, and once again was a cattle driving dog in Australia, I don’t know what they are feeding them, but I need to get some for my Cattle Dog….lol
