i just bought a 97 f 150 and lost the keys the only set i had need a new key but ford dealer said they can only cut 2000 + up so any one have ideas

That doesn’t make any sense at all. I work for a Ford Dealer, and to say that keys below 2000 cannot be cut is painfully untrue.
Perhaps they meant they don’t have you particular key Code? This can be obtained through ford.
