Deep Rising (1998)
What is this movie from around 1998 – 2002? Bugs/Aliens/Spiders?
I am after the title of this fairly lowish budget film.
Released between 1998 and 2002
Elements that i remember.
3/4 engineeres/excevation crew/gas miners/explorers type characters (1 Black, 1 White and 1 Girl) are in a tunnel/mineshaft/cave.
They discover a portal/wormhole/door to what i think was an alternative universe, where humans are being hunted or fed upon by bugs/spiders/flying insects/crazy humonoids.
It was basically a survival type film, where only a few survive. I do remember at the end of the movie they end up on a desert island and they think they have survived when a large bug/alien/flying bug attacks them right at the end and the movie then abruptly finishes.
I realise that this is very vague but to help here is a list of films that it deffo is not.

I barely remember this too. I think it’s a short, maybe part of a larger project, like a vignette.They end up on this island feeling safe only to discover the spiders are the dominant specie there.
