Three Tenants Getting Together To Clean Up The Property
In 1975 I purchased my present residence. Over the ensuing years I have improved my asset both inside and out. There was only two trees on the property, so I gradually planted about 40 trees and shrubs, with the result, it is now a very mature and private setting. The inside of the flat–there are 3– was re decorated by painting and a new carpet.
I lived very comfortably with my dog and earned a reasonable living in marketing. After fifty years of a working life i retired.
After I had been retired 10 years I decided to sell the property, and because the other flats were part of a deceased estate, we decided to market the whole property as a going concern.The purchaser was a investor,so I made it known that I wanted to remain and become a tenant. Naturally he was very happy to have me as a tenant. I also made it known that I would continue to maintain and consider the property as still my own. Any maintenance that has to be carried out I have organised ever since. Both parties are very happy.
TIME FOR A CLEAN UP.
Last saturday I organised a clean up of the entire property. So a woking bee was called by we three tenants, to trim limbs,hedges and shrubs. We took two bites at the project. The morning would be devoted to cutting and trimming, and the afternoon to mulching it through a chipper we hired.
The day was fine and warm. We started at 9-30 on my garden first. The chipper we hired would ony cut up to 40mm in diameter,so we were restricted ,not to get too ruthless.By midday we had huge pile of branches and foliage, both back and front of the property.After a quick lunch it was time to collect the chipper which was’t too far away.It was on a small trailer so was easy to transport.
It took us the rest of the afternoon–from1pm to 4pm– to feed the two piles of cuttings through the chipper.Branches were easy but hedge clippings had to be pushed through with force. The final result was two very large piles of mulch for the garden, which should keep the weeds in check.
After returning the chipper about 5pm, three very tired and dirty men were ready for a well deserved beer, then a shower.We were all very satisfyed with the end result, which gave us a real sense of achievment.
The day we three tenants shared in the clean up project, reminded me of the help, and sharing that I recieved when I started my internet marketing business.Without that help from my tutor and the team of marketing gurus I would not be where I am to-day with my business. The saying – MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK — is so true and it also makes for closer bonding.
