2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara button?

I have a button by my shifter in my car and i don’t knokw what it is. the car doesn’t have an owners manual so i was hoping someone could help me. it says n on the top of the button, a/t in the center of the button, and a p on the bottom of the button. and when i turn it on the word POWER comes on my dash. not really sure what it is, just wondering if anyone knows…

The button changes the shifting characteristics of the automatic transmission. N = normal, P = Power (or performance). In Power mode, you will notice a decrease in fuel economy, and the transmission will shift at higher rpm. The Power mode will result in faster acceleration.

Given your question, I strongly recommend that you do not use the Power mode.
