Why is Spider-Man getting a reboot? C’mon, 3 Spider-Man films were not that horrible enough to get a reboot?

I’m seriously, utterly dissapointed that the Spider-Man movie franchise is getting a Reboot, in fact I’m also mad about it too, it’s going back to the beginning where Peter Parker is in High School. James Franco reacted to the Reboot by saying “it worked out well for Batman”. It’s not like it needs to get rebooted like Batman, because the first Batman film from 1989 did not show the complete origin on how Bruce Wayne became Batman, meanwhile the first Spider-Man film from 2002 showed enough on how Peter Parker came to be Spider-Man. Also Spider-Man 3, eventhought a lot of people think it sucked, it did not suck up to the point it needed to get a reboot like Batman and Robin nearly destroyed the Batman franchise. Seriously, why the Reboot?
I was looking forward to seeing John Malkovich play the Vulture, damn, why?

Its not that the films were doing poorly they are rebooting it because Raimi needed more time to complete Spiderman 4, Sony decided that they did not want to wait that long to release the film so they gave him two choices do it now or don’t do it. Raimi left the project and now Spiderman is getting a reboot thanks to Sony.
