Can someone explain “Eye Of The Beholder” to me?

There was a movie in 1999 with Ewan McGregor and Ashley Judd called “Eye of The Beholder”. I read what it was supposed to be about and I watched the retarded movie but I totally didn’t get it…care to explain??

That movie pissed me off to no end.

I liked it until the end which made absolutely no sense whatsoever.
