Freddy Got Fingered (2001)
Do you think Shaq has underachieved?
Don’t get me wrong, Shaq has had a phenomenal career and will go down as one of the greatest centers/players of all time. But, what could this guy have accomplished if he actually worked out and practiced in the off-season instead of putting out horrendously bad movies and albums such as “Kazaam” and “Shaq Fu: Da Return”. Actually “Blue Chip” wasn’t too bad.
Do you think he would have won and achieved more? Or, do you think he accomplished more than enough?
Also, what is your favorite Shaquill O’Neal film? (I know it’s tough to choose just 1)
Blue Chips (1994)
Kazaam (1996)
Good Burger (1997)
Steel (1997)
He Got Game (1998)
A Great Day in Hip Hop (1998)
The Wash (2001)
Freddy Got Fingered (2001)
Scary Movie 4 (2006)
Yahoo Sucks: I was not hatin on Shaq. I’m usually the one defending him against disgruntled Laker fans, so get your facts straight.
Good answers guys. I’ll check your qusestions out later JR.
actually the triangle system is counter productive to Shaq’s attributes, which is about spacing, movement w/o the ball and slashing or posting on mismatches. for example the bulls winning with centers that could hit perimeter jump shots, screen well and roll to the rim or pop from 15ft-10ft in, Luc Longly, Bill Cartwright, Bill Wennington or Horace Grant when he would slide over to do spot duty at center and pass quickly out of double teams or find cutters or people open on the perimeter (which Shaq did both well).
sorry, i got side tracked. the answer to your question is yes… you hear any analyst or former coaches, including phil jackson that Shaq should have won MVP more than once in his career, should of won more rings in his career than the four he owns, hell he should of won a NCAA title… Shaq’s dominance was obvious in the Playoffs, but he would coast at times during the regular season or let relatively small injuries along with an aloof attitude about practice and conditioning keep him back from attaining more.
he never fixed his freethrow issues. nor has he done well since they’ve allowed zone defenses so that opposing teams can collapse on him before he can get position. he also has never been that good of a defender. and for his height, size and strength… i think many envision him as a perennial rebounding king. which never happened.
I’ll never take away anything he has accomplished as he is still one of the greats… but instead he could of been the greatest.
Blue Chips… cuz it wasn’t that bad of a movie… eh… memory is kinda foggy though.
i also liked that he made fun of himself on Scary Movie 4, even though it might of been his worst acting (which is impressive since he was playing himself in a COMEDY!), but anytime i can see Dr. Phil being tortured gets votes from me.
