Galaxy Quest (1999)

What was the name of this 70’s sci fi anime cartoon…?
Not Star Blazers… although the animation was very similar. I remember only sketchy details – the biggest of which was the ‘evil’ character – in some sort of black cape & mask that resembled a bird…? And if I recall correctly, when the person was unveiled at the end of the series it was a woman…? I keeping thinking ‘Galaxy Quest’ but that was the 1999 Tim Allen flick…
Battle of the Planets, AKA G-Force. It was one of the first anime series brought over to america by Sandy Frank productions.
It was based on the Gatchaman anime series.
