Hamlet (2000)

Help! Differences between the play Hamlet and the 2000 film version with Ethan Hawke?

I need specific examples of differences between the two versions of Hamlet for a 250 word english assignment. any help would be hugely appreciated!! thanks :)

Everything about the setting is different, but the words/plot are the same.
The movie is set in modern day, Prince Hamlet records everything with a camcorder, Denmark is not a country but a corportation, and the film is set in New York.
His “To Be or Not To Be” speech is in a Blockbuster video. You should really watch the film; it’s pretty great. Polonious is played by Bill Murray and Ophelia by Julia Stiles.

The play's the thing... that will have you in stitches, as this three-man troupe sends up over 30 of the Bard's plays in a hilarious marathon of jilted lovers, duellists, ghosts, melancholy Danes and other crazy characters. From a rap rendition of "Othello" to "Titus Andronicus" turned into a cooking show, it's Shakespeare as you've never seen it before. 90 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby...

Shakespeare's tragedy becomes a modern morality tale with Ethan Hawke as the title hero, now an angry film student suspicious of widowed mother Diane Venora's quick marriage to his creepy uncle, new Denmark Corporation CEO Kyle MacLachlan. Director Michael Almereyda ("Nadja") sets his film in a high-tech Manhattan, placing the "To be or not to be" soliloquy in a seedy video store "Action" section....
