Does anyone remember the 1960 movie “Home From the Hill” starring Robert Mitchum and a young George Hamilton?

It’s one of my all-time favorite movies. I haven’t seen it in many years. But there is a part early in the movie whereby Robert Mitchum’s fellow hunting buddies take the young son, Theron, out hunting for the first time, I think. They tell the son, played by George Hamilton, that they are hunting for ______?_______. It turns out to be a big joke that they were playing on the inexperienced and sheltered son. Can someone fill in the blank?

Snipe. It is an very old rite- of-passage joke played on a tenderfoot. Snipe do exist. They are small swamp dwelling birds hunted during the day with a shotgun, not at night with a flashlight or lantern a gunny sack and a whistle. It is one of my favorite movies also.
