I Don’t Want To Talk About It (1994)
What do you think of my poem for English class?
Ohkay, we had to write a poem about ourselves. It had to have a bunch of good qualities then a bad one. I really am not conceited, lol.
I know it doesn’t really flow, but most of the poems we read don’t.
Well, this is it;
“Ego Tripping”
I made Maine a better place at 9:41am on June 18th, 1994.
I am so good at swimming that I make the fish jealous.
I can get anything I want with my sweet talk.
All the girls envy my nails.
I am fat and ugly.
My big feet take me places others have not yet discovered.
I have the best and most loving family.
I will always win the argument even when others think I have lost.
I have a smile that makes the sun look dim.
I am a strong and independent young woman.
It think it is time
For u to find a rhyme
You have a cute face
But poetry? Last place!
