Last House On The Left (1972)

How do you think Nader’s entry into the presidential race, will affect Hillary or Obama’s election prospects?

The last 20-odd years have seen the tremendous effect that an
independent third-party “spoiler” can have on an election’s outcome.
-In 1992, Ross Perot essentially gave us Bill Clinton, as he took away a fair portion of right-wing votes from Daddy Bush…
-In 2000, Ralph Nader siphoned away votes from the far-left (you know… Rainbow Family drifters, “back to nature” organic granola hippies with bean sprouts caught between their teeth, and aging Woodstock refugees sporting bald heads fringed with long gray ponytails and that distinctive ripe odor from not having bathed since 1972 or therebouts because they think soap’s bad for the environment, ect.)
-And now, it appears Nader is poised to take the votes of the above-mentioned ideologue-lefties voting bloc again. I don’t see a corresponding right-wing “spoiler” this time though…
So how do you think this will affect Hillary or Obama’s shot
at the White House?

Any 3rd party entry simply takes votes away from the main candidate who stands a chance to win.

To answer your question specifically, Nader running will steal votes from whoever gets the Dem nomination; Obama or Hillary. That means that candidate will get less votes than they would if Nader were not running. That means it will be harder for them to win the general election.

Nader doesn’t stand any real chance of winning. In fact, no one outside of McCain, Hillary or Obama stands any real chance of winning.

The far left can fantasize about Nader winning just as the Libertarians (myself included) can fantasize about Ron Paul winning. In the end, like it or not, we have a 2 party system, and any vote outside that system is not only a wasted vote, but essentially a vote for the opposing party.

Writer/director Wes Craven and producer Sean Cunningham's chilling take on, of all things, Bergman's "The Virgin Spring" still packs a shocking punch. After a gang of drug-dealing sadists murders two teenage girls, they take refuge in a suburban family's home, unaware it's the home of one of their victims. When the parents discover the truth, they exact a gruesome revenge. "To avoid fainting, keep...

Future Nightmare creator and Scream weaver Wes Craven's film debut is a primitive little production that rises above its cut-rate production values and hazy, grainy patina via its grimly affecting portrait of human evil infiltrating a middle-class household. The story is adapted from Ingmar Bergman's The Virgin Spring, but the film has more in common with Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs as it char...
