Licence To Kill (1989)

Anyone ever think a fictional country from a movie was real?

even if it was just for a second then you thought “wait a minute!!!”

I was fooled by Corto Maltese, mentioned in “Batman” (1989) and Isthmus (Licence to Kill 1989). I think the secret is to have a plausible sounding name (Freedonia doesn’t quite cut it) I kind of got wise to it after that. Anyone else been caught out by fictional geography?
..Please don’t get fictional countries confused with fictional worlds. I’m not talking about Narnia, Oz, Middle Earth, Terabithia, Krull or anywhere like that.
All right, seeing as someone’s mentioned it, we’ll include fictional towns and cities as well (yes I know that Burkittsville is real, but “Blair” isn’t)
Stephen K. – It was 18 years ago — I was alot younger then.

I thought “Brigadoon” was real but it’s a fictional place in Scotland.[Starring Van Johnson]

Timothy Dalton's second and last shot at playing James Bond isn't nearly as much fun as his debut, two years earlier, in the 1987 film The Living Daylights. This time Bond gets mad after a close friend (David Hedison) from the intelligence sector is assassinated on his wedding day, and 007 goes undercover to link the murder to an international drug cartel.
