Mediterranean Holiday (1964)
where can I find an obscure movie called either The Flying Clipper or Mediterranean Holiday?
This movie was released in 1962 in West Germany under the name “.Flying Clipper – Traumreise unter weissen Segeln.” Its American release was in Dec. 1964 under the name Mediterranean Holiday. It was some kind of naval documentary, and the American version starred Burl Ives as the narrator.
Some footage in this movie was filmed aboard the USS Shangri-la, an aircraft carrier. My interest in acquiring this film is becuase I have a good friend who was on the ship at that time, and who remembers the shooting. Who knows? He may even be visible at some point;
I have looked long and hard on the internet and altough I have found information about the movie, I haven’t found any copies for sale. Hopefully, you can help.
