Merry Andrew (1958)

i am looking for a danny kaye movie called merry andrew. i have been trying to find a copy 4 years?

i saw this movie twice when i was a kid on tv while i was on holidays with my family. i have been trying to find a copy ever since. i’m pretty sure it was made in 1958 and is about a gypsy (danny kaye) who bumps into a circus troup. he falls in love with one of the female acts who has half a dozen brothers also in the circus. the antics that follow are side-splitting hilarious and very entertaining. the last scenes are incorperated into the big top act to which the audience are oblivious that the brothers are out to get the gypsy for hitting on their sister. if you havn’t yet seen this movie, i recomend it for all ages.

From what I understand, this movie has not been released on video or DVD yet. About the only thing you can do is contact MGM and ask them if they have any plans to release it. If they get enough interest in it, they will release it eventually. I have run into this problem with several old movies. The studios never released them, so there’s no way to get a copy unless you get lucky and can tape if off of TMC or something. Good luck!
