Mona Lisa (1986)

Few questions about the movie Mona Lisa (1986) starring Bob Hoskins?

I watched it a week ago and I have to write a short essay about it but I don’t think I quite understood the film fully. What is the filmmaker trying to say with this film? What are a few good examples of symbolism from the movie? And just what is up with the final scene??? It didn’t feel like a proper conclusion, but maybe I’ve missed something.

These essay’s are so annoying right? Too much work for a “blow-off” class I think. Anyways I’m pretty much in the same boat, I really had no idea what was going on throughout the whole movie. All I remember was that its about prostitutes and two midgets get into a fight. I don’t remember what the last scene was about, only that it involves George, his daughter, and Thomas. Other than that sorry I couldn’t help more. Now if you’ll excuse me I only have one hour to finish my paper and turn it in.
