NHS community says farewell to ‘father figure”™
In the 1971 issue of Norwalk High School ’s yearbook, senior Jeffrey S. Smith (a.k.a. “Duke”) stated that he’d like to one day try his hand at directing his high school’s band, and as things turned out, on June 13, 2010 the Lewis E. Dunlap auditorium was filled to capacity with people whose lives were positively touched because this determined 17-year-old went on to do just that.
