1988 Jeep Cherokee limited?

Hey I am trying to replace the ignition cylinder on my Jeep and i’m stuck. I have got the steering wheel off but I don’t know where to go from there. If anyone could give me instructions on how to do it I would be very grateful thank you

very deep project, and if unfamiliar with jeeps, I would recommend having someone do it.
Having said that, I will also tell you how.
Remove steering wheel. Remove steel plate behind steering wheel. There is a small retaining clip that holds this in place. To remove that clip, puch in on the steel plate and you will see a black clip that is almost a complete circle. There is a gap to get a screwdriver in it. pop out that clip ( I make it sound easy) then remove the steel plate.
Under that steel plate, you will see a pin that holds the ignition cylinder in place. In 88, you may have to drill that pin with a drill bit, or it might be one that if you turn the key to the run position, you can push in with a small punch. Do not force.

Then simply pull out the cylinder. Install in reverse order with the key in the ruen position
