Say Anything … (1989)

Should I buy this 1989 Honda CRX ?

I haven’t driven it yet but I’m going to soon. I’m not gonna mod it or anything, I just want to know if its reliable and if theres anything commonly wrong with 89 crx’s and also what the gas mileage would be…

“This is a very nice, non modified 1989 CRX Si. It has always been garaged and well taken care of. The car does not leak or burn any oil. There is no rust. It starts, idles and runs great. The transmission is smooth and precise. Everything works as it should. The AC, power top, etc. The interior is all original down to the floor mats. There are no tears or damage to the seats or carpet. All in all, I would say that the car is in very good to excellent condition.”
and also how much would be a fair price for it… hes asking 2400 but i could probably get it for 2000 or 1900

This alone, if true, means that yes, you should.

It also means you might not be able to talk him down.

If everything DOES really work, and if it really DOES have no rust, jump on this car. And then KEEP IT STOCK.

If you’re looking for a CRX to modify, buy one that is already modified. Stock CRXes, particularly SIs, are rare, and getting rarer.
