Love On The Run (1979)

could any one tel me what a 924 porsche 1979 model, off the road since nov 2007, could be worth for sale ?

i have owned my 1979 porsche 924 for almost 24 years. i love the car but i cant aford to keep it running anymore. last november i had the cluch renewed + new tires all round the seals needed welding which i had done. just after the head gasket went so i had to put the car off road, that is where i am now. the car would be a good project for someone who has the time and space to work on it. there is rust on the drivers door and the front seats are not in good condition. i have had a lot done to the car over the years and i am very sad to have to give up on bertie as i call it. i aproached pimp my ride in the hope i could get bertie put right but nothing came of that, so i am selling bertie, but havent got a clue as to what the car is worth. the colour of bertie is mexican beige only used in 1978,1979. not a popular colour but seldom seen now. i would realy appreciate any help. thanks

your better off stripping the car and selling the parts on EBay. The owners of 924’s are always needing parts for their Audi’s.

The 1979 Rankin/Bass production Jack Frost is a made-for-TV stop motion animation feature. Buddy Hacket narrates the story as the voice of groundhog Pardon-Me-Pete. The spirit of winter, Jack Frost (voice of Robert Morse) falls for a young woman named Elisa (voice of Debra Clinger). He asks Father Winter to make him into a human so he can win her love. However, she is already engaged to the brave knight, Sir Danny. When the villianous King Kubla Kraus (voice of Paul Frees) kidnaps her, Jack has to turn back into his spirit form in order to use his powers to save her. ~ Andrea LeVasseur, Rovi
Romance on the Run Romance on the Run
$5.54

Though its title suggests yet another rip-off of It Happened One Night, Republic's Romance on the Run is more accurately classifed as a crime caper comedy. Private detective Barry Drake (Donald Woods) gives chase when jewel thieves Lily (Grace Bradley) and Cooper (Craig Reynolds) skip town and high-tail it to the sticks. Along the way, Drake begrudgingly accepts the help and advice of dizzy Dale (Patricia Ellis), with whom he falls in love (hence the film's title). Much of the film takes place in hillbilly country, with Drake and Dale running afoul of comic-strip hillbillies. Edward Brophy has a few choice moments as a dyspeptic gangster. Romance on the Run was directed by Gus Meins, a graduate of the "Our Gang" comedies. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Frank Johnson (Ross Elliott), a window-dresser and struggling artist, accidentally witnesses a mob-related rub-out of a witness (Thomas P. Dillon), while out walking his dog one night -- after being shot at for his trouble, he's approached by the police, who want to put him into protective custody. But before they can do that, he runs out, and it's up to Inspector Ferris (Robert Keith) to find him before the killer does. He approaches Johnson's wife, Eleanor (Ann Sheridan), only to discover that not only were they the most distant -- nearly estranged -- couple he's ever encountered, but that she doesn't want to help find him, or care if he is found. Then she learns that he has a potentially serious heart condition that he never told her about, and that he has no medication -- she decides to try and find him to give him help, dodging the police with help from a pushy reporter named Leggett (Dennis O'Keefe), covering his job and all of his old haunts; and in the process, she discovers a man that she never really bothered to know or understand, one who not only wanted to love her but does love her, despite the way their marriage has gone, and discovers that there may still be a marriage worth saving. But to do that she's got to find him to head off not only a potentially fatal heart seizure but also save him from the killer who, unbeknownst to her, is just a step behind her and has already started covering her trail and murdering potential witnesses. ~ Bruce Eder, Rovi
Run Swinger Run!/Sex Club International Run Swinger Run!/Sex Club International
$9.13

Sex and international espionage share the stage in two vintage sexploitation features from Barry Mahon, which have been paired up on this disc from the trash culture enthusiasts at Something Weird Video. Both Run Swinger Run and Sex Club International have been transferred to disc in their original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and the transfers look good though the source materials are less than idea -- the images are sharp and the range of grey tones is good, but the prints used for both features show some wear and are pock-marked with speckles and scratches, though this tends to add to the enjoyably sleazy ambience of the films rather than distract from it. The dialogue in both films is in English with no subtitles or multiple language options, and the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo, retaining the original monophonic mix for both movies. The sound quality is as good as can be expected for low-budget adult films of the mid-Sixties, which is to say it's quite variable, though Something Weird appear to have done all they can with the original source materials. A treasure trove of Mahon-centric bonus materials have been added for this release, including original trailers for a baker's dozen Barry Mahon pictures (including both of the headlining features), three all-but-plotless nudie-cutie shorts from the director, and a rare forty-minute short feature (also with an espionage theme), The Adventures of Busty Brown. A gallery of cover art from movie-themed men's magazines of the Sixties closes out the bonus section. Folks with a soft spot for Barry Mahon's meandering but deeply plotted style will love this disc, a loving tribute to the oddball joys of vintage sleaze cinema. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

An escaped convict fights for his rights while hiding out from the law in this action drama. Sam Gillen (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is a thief who, despite his criminal past, is an essentially decent man; he ended up behind bars after taking a murder rap for his partner. Sam escapes from prison in a daring jailbreak, and he hides out on a remote farm while on the run from police. A young boy named Mookie (Kieran Culkin) finds the fugitive and takes him in; it seems that the farm belongs to his mother Clydie (Roseanna Arquette), and soon Mookie and his sister Bree (Tiffany Taubman) have become friends with Sam, and Clydie and Sam fall in love. However, Franklin Hale (Joss Ackland), an unscrupulous land developer, wants to buy Clydie's farm and isn't taking no for an answer. When Hale's thug Dunston (Ted Levine) tries to use force to drive Clydie off her property, Sam is ready to fight fire with fire. Nowhere to Run was co-authored by noted screenwriter Joe Eszterhas; Richard Marquand received his story credit posthumously. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Cary Grant made his last film appearance before retiring from the screen in this agreeable piece of fluff based on the 1943 comedy The More the Merrier, which dealt with the romantic complications inherent in the housing shortage in Washington D.C. during World War II. In Walk, Don't Run, the story is updated to a housing shortage in Tokyo during the Olympic Games of 1964. British industrialist Sir William Rutland (Cary Grant) arrives in Tokyo two days before the start of the games and cannot find any suitable accommodations. As a result, he answers an ad for an "apartment to share" and convinces the occupant, Christine Easton (Samantha Eggar), to rent a room to him. The next day he meets the handsome Steve Davis (Jim Hutton), a member of the United States Olympic walking team. Steve also needs a room and convinces Christine to take him on as a second tenant. After meeting Christine's pompous fiance, Julius D. Haversack (John Standing), Rutland begins to ply his matchmaking skills in an effort to get Christine and Steve to fall in love with each other. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi
