The Big Easy (1986)

What song would my mom like probably?

Well mother’s day is tomorrow and I am a big procrastinator. I need to learn a song to play for mom on the guitar and quick. I played “Wish You Were Here” by Pink Floyd on her birthday and as far as I could tell she liked it. Because I have no money and homemade cards are a little cliché I thought I would learn a song for her on the guitar. She grew up in the late 80s, graduated in 1986 and she was into the 80s metal stuff. Like ACDC, Aerosmith, Van Halen, etc. She also liked stuff like Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix. I thought about learning “Thank You” by Led Zeppelin but that could be taken the wrong way. What should I learn for her? I already know “Little Wing” by Jimi Hendrix and most of some other songs but I need something that is nice and doesn’t necessarily have to be easy. But don’t tell me to learn eruption over night.
Specific songs please, and probably something slower or nicer than an 80s metal song.

Dream On by Aerosmith is a great song. I’m just a couple of years older than your Mom.

RIP Alfah (Toronto graffiti artist) 1986 – 2005

It's simple: in his various realizations of the piano music of Erik Satie, Aldo Ciccolini set a standard that has yet to be bettered. This compilation, drawn from recordings made between 1966 and 1971, is consequently the best of the best. Ciccolini always played Satie's music as though it had been written by Claude Debussy, not by some cheap charlatan or uneducated primitive (which, to an extent ...
