Stereotypes of Disabled in films?

I am doing a 4 page report on disabled people in films and how the movie industry portrays them. The movie that I chose was The Bone Collector it came out in 1999. The stereotypes that stood out in the movie were:
1. Super Natural Ability because every time some one got kill. Lincoln Rhyme would always know what it was off the top of his head and know where the next person would be.
2. Can not participate in everyday life because he is connected to all the machines that keep him alive.
3. No significance relationship because he is a quadriplegic and nothing serious can develop.
I try looking for information about how disabled people in movies are seen as having a: Super Natural Ability, Can not participate in everyday life, and No significance relationship. But all I found was information on how disable people can not have a significane relationship. Can anyone help me in finding on the other two sources?

I’m not quite sure I understand the question but it you’re looking for a movie that encompasses both disability and super-human powers then check out M. Night Shymalan’s “Unbreakable” starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson released in 2000.

Even if it isn’t what you’re looking for it’s worth checking out as a movie in it’s own right, it’s very good.
