The Boxer (1997)
Please help identify a music video artist and title from 1997/1998 ?
Hi everyone,
i have been trying and trying for years to chase up the Artist and Title of a video clip from 1997/1998 roughly that i cant seem to track down …. I think it was a charted hit as i only remember hearing it on MTV and count downs but paid no attention then.
The Song is an R&B style tune that i was not really into back then but I clearly remember the clip being played regularly around this time.
the Video clip is set in a bar or night club with a boxer in a boxing ring in the back ground.
while the boxers go at it in the background a young black lady is sitting at a table singing the actual song …. she is closer to the camera than the boxers fighting but the camera regularly pans to one of the boxers sweating it out … kinda sad song.

only thing that comes to mind like this is cheryle lynne ( encore ) but that was early 80 s check it out maybe the same song
