The Duel (2000)
What was the name of that 2000-2004 show about a card game? Not Yu-Gi-Oh!?
When I was younger I remember going to Blockbuster with my dad and brothers to rent weird little animated shows. I especially remember one about this card game. I know for a fact that it wasn’t Yu-Gi-Oh! because it had different characters. There were two main girls and one guy named Lee, who the girls apparently didn’t like.
I vividly remember three scenes.
A light in a cave by the ocean, this “Lee” character playing his little card game on the playground, and while Lee and one of the girls were fighting (dueling) the card game in the rain the other girl told the main girl that her pink rubber outfit absorbed lightning.
I can’t remember the name of the show or the other characters names but I’ve been pondering the existence of this show for about four years now and it’s driving me insane. And I don’t think that the show was ever really created into an actual card game.
Hmm it’s not Pokemon either
…and I don’t think that they ever recreated it like Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon
The only anime that I can think of is Cardcaptor Sakura (Or Cardcaptors for the dub), even though it was made before 2000, and it wasn’t exactly a card game… But I think I do remember those scenes in that anime.
