The Element Of Crime (1984)

How would I find examples of choice of detail in novels?

As you might have seen in my other questions today, I have to read ‘1984′ and ‘Crime and Punishment’ for a class over the summer. I need to find examples of different literary elements and mark them with post-it notes….what is choice of detail and how do I find it?

without seeing the full question you have been set it is difficult to be sure what is sought here as “choice of detail” isn’t a literary device

could it possibly be that your question is leaving it to you to show whatchoice you have made in the detail in the novels to illustrate the other devices?
