Who thinks that parents are overreacting to the movie The Great Mouse Detective?
I’ve read a lot on parents overreacting to the 1986 Disney movie The Great Mouse Detective, Frankly I don’t see the reason of it. They are talking about petitions and getting rid of that great Disney classic! The main issue is the Pub scene with the female Dancer also the beer and drug use in the movie. I grew up with that movie, and I agree that the standards are different today. The movie would be rated PG due to the content, but in the 80s it was rated G. They included that scene because of the parent viewers, in the family film genre, so that they didn’t get bored and refused to buy it. Things on TV are way worse like, Who Framed Roger Rabbit (Another great classic by the way) and on Spongebob Squarepants they included a pantie raid. Children won’t remember a scene like that until their old enough to know the meaning or until pointed by the Parents or Guardians. Who thinks that the parents are just overreacting?
I agree, people today overreact over too many things! I mean for goodness sakes, if you’re going to overreact over something small like that…go live in a bubble or some remote place without any human contact.
