“Planes, Trains & Automobiles” could easily have been the title of “Knight and Day,” the action-romance starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. A jet crashes in a cornfield. A knife fight takes place on a speeding locomotive. Cars flip, explode, careen.
