The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane (1976)
Have you seen ‘The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane’?
The film is from 1976 and features Jodie Foster and Martin Sheen.
I just saw it last night on the internet but even before that the whole thing sounded very familiar. I’m now looking for the book that the film was adapted from and I can’t for the life of me find it, dammit….
Just asking if any of you saw it, what do you think of it? I found it very haunting and eerily nostalgic.
I saw that one at the theater, a year or two after its first release, and caught it on video 2-3 times since. Unique approach, small and intimate, no big shocks, but plenty of suspense and some really fine performances by young co-stars Foster and Scott Jacoby, with a chillingly nasty one by Martin Sheen.
Canada can turn out some fine movies when it wants to, can’t it?
